At Watcon Constructions, we believe that a well-planned build or renovation begins long before construction starts. Our structured pre-construction process ensures clarity, confidence, and control from day one.

Why Pre-Construction Planning Matters
Builds can be complex, but planning doesn’t have to be. Our pre-construction phase is designed to give you:
Clarity on the scope and cost of your renovation or build
Confidence in your design choices and materials
Control over your schedule and investment
Control over your schedule and investment
We minimise risk, avoid costly surprises, and keep everything moving smoothly toward construction.
What’s Included in Our Pre-Construction Phase
Our Brisbane-based pre-construction process includes:

1. Initial Enquiry
Reach out via phone, email, or our website to express your interest in a renovation or build. We’re here to listen, answer questions, and assist you in taking the first step.

2. Project Information Form
Complete our enquiry form to provide details about your project. This helps us understand your goals, needs, and vision, allowing us to offer tailored advice from the beginning.

3. On-Site Consultation
We’ll meet with you at your property to discuss ideas, explore possibilities, and offer initial guidance. This visit helps us grasp the unique aspects of your space and outline potential project options.

4. Preliminary Cost Estimation
Based on our discussions and site assessment, we’ll provide an estimation of probable costs, giving you a clear understanding of the likely investment for your build.

5. Preliminary Planning & Reports
We assist with engaging a building designer or architect, arrange soil tests and engineering input, and carry out service checks. A detailed Quantity Take-Off (QTO) is then prepared to support accurate pricing and uncover any potential issues early.

6. Final Selections
With design and costs confirmed, we’ll assist you in selecting final finishes, such as tapware, tiles, kitchenware, flooring, and more. Our access to preferred suppliers makes this process enjoyable and efficient.

7. Council Approvals
We manage the necessary council approvals to ensure your build complies with local regulations, saving you time and hassle.

8. Preparation for Construction
With all plans, selections, and approvals in place, we prepare for the construction phase, ensuring a smooth transition from planning to building.
